Your confirmed quote identifies the wardrobe frames, doors, internal fittings and additional services included in the appointment, so you know what will be completed before the assembler arrives. Every standard wardrobe assembly booking includes:
- Reviewing the supplied instructions and quoted wardrobe configuration
- Checking the supplied panels, fittings and hardware as the boxes are opened
- Building the wardrobe frame in the manufacturer's specified sequence
- Fitting the shelves, hanging rails, drawers, baskets and other internal components listed in your quote
- Installing the quoted hinged doors or supplied sliding-door system
- Aligning and levelling the wardrobe where the floor and product allow
- Checking visible and accessible screws, bolts, hinges and fittings
- Positioning the assembled wardrobe in the agreed location when it can be moved safely
- Grouping or stacking the packaging neatly in the assembly area
- Identifying any obvious missing, damaged or incompatible components

Wall-securing requirements
Australian consumer guidance recommends securing wardrobes and other tall furniture to a suitable wall or floor to reduce the risk of toppling.
Tell us when booking whether the manufacturer supplied an anchoring device and, if known, what the wall is made from. We will confirm whether wall securing and the required fixings are included in your quote.
If the manufacturer requires anchoring and it cannot be completed safely during the appointment, we will explain what is needed next. The wardrobe should not be used until the required securing work has been completed.

Changes to the quoted work
Your price applies to the products, configuration and room conditions described when booking. If the delivered wardrobe or site conditions are materially different, we will explain the issue and obtain your approval before completing additional work or adding any cost.
IKEA PAX and modular wardrobe assembly
PAX and similar modular wardrobes are priced from the complete configuration, not the number of boxes. Frame count, height, doors, drawers, pull-out fittings, handles and the room itself all change the work.
Frames and combinations
Single or multiple frames are assembled and joined to the supplied plan. Corner layouts and longer wardrobe runs need the complete configuration and the room dimensions at quote time, not just the box count.
Room height and assembly clearance
Send the wardrobe height and the ceiling height before booking. Tall frames may need a specific assembly method and enough clear space to build and stand them without damaging the ceiling or the product.
Walls, floors and skirting boards
Uneven floors, skirting boards, cornices and out-of-plumb walls affect how frames sit. Fillers, packers, scribing or any wall work must be assessed and quoted separately.
What to send for an accurate quote
The planner link or product list, frame quantities and sizes, door type and quantity, every internal fitting, the room and ceiling height, the wall material, photos of the wall, floor and skirting, and your preferred date.
We assemble the customer-supplied system to the agreed plan. Standard assembly does not include space design, custom joinery, cutting building finishes or electrical work.
Wardrobe doors, drawers and internal fittings
Two wardrobes with the same frame size can be very different jobs. A simple open frame is not equivalent to a system with sliding doors, soft-close hinges, several drawers and pull-out fittings.
Hinged doors
Supplied hinges and doors are installed and adjusted so gaps and closing action are consistent within the limits of the product and the room conditions.
Sliding doors
Tracks, guides, rollers and door panels are installed from the supplied system. Heavy or mirrored panels may need additional handling or a second assembler.
Drawers and baskets
Runners, drawer boxes, fronts and baskets are assembled and adjusted according to the product instructions.
Shelves and hanging rails
Fixed and adjustable shelves and clothes rails are fitted in the positions shown in the agreed configuration.
Handles and accessories
Supplied handles and quoted accessories are installed where the product provides the correct mounting positions and hardware.

Confirm every carton has arrived
Large wardrobes often arrive in several separately numbered boxes. Compare the delivery with the retailer's item list, and keep the plan, instructions and hardware together.
Clear the assembly area
Provide enough level floor space to lay out the longest panels and build the wardrobe without damaging nearby furniture.
Move what is in the way
Existing furniture, rugs and stored items in the installation area should be moved beforehand. Moving them is not part of standard assembly.
Get permission where required
Tenants should obtain any owner or property-manager approval needed before wall drilling, anchoring or removing existing fixtures.
Share access information
Tell us about stairs, floor level, lifts, loading access, parking restrictions and any building booking requirements before the appointment.
Keep the work area clear

Wall securing can be included when the product requires it and it is listed in the confirmed quotation. Suitability and price depend on the manufacturer's restraint, the wall material, access and the fixings required. Send photos of the wall, and obtain property approval where it is needed.
The assembler brings the standard assembly tools. The wardrobe must include its manufacturer-supplied panels, doors, fittings, instructions and hardware. Wall anchors or specialist fixings depend on the product and the wall, and are confirmed in the quote.
Send photos of the skirting and the installation wall before booking. Cutting, removing or altering skirting is not included in standard assembly and needs explicit approval and separate confirmation.
Yes. The tenant is responsible for obtaining any owner, agent or building approval required for wall drilling, anchoring or alterations.
The assembler identifies the affected component and explains what is needed from the retailer or manufacturer. Assembly continues only where doing so will not damage the product or leave it incomplete and unusable. A return appointment may require a separate quote.
Partly assembled wardrobes are assessed from clear photos showing the frame, doors, hardware and remaining parts. We confirm whether the build can continue or whether correction or partial disassembly is required first.
