Large sheds, playground equipment, gym machines, kitchen installation, permanent joinery, plumbing, electrical work, gas connections and structural modifications are not automatically included in standard flat-pack furniture assembly. The confirmed quote identifies every item and any additional work before the appointment. Every standard booking includes:
- Reviewing the supplied instructions and product components
- Assembly in the manufacturer's specified sequence
- Use of the assembler's standard assembly tools
- Fitting manufacturer-supplied drawers, doors, shelves and accessories included in the quoted product
- Basic alignment, levelling and an accessible-fastener check
- Positioning the assembled item in the agreed room when it can be moved safely
- Leaving packaging grouped or stacked neatly in the assembly area
- Explaining any obvious missing, damaged or incompatible component discovered during the job
Quoted separately where available: packaging removal and disposal, carrying heavy or oversized boxes between floors, moving existing furniture, disassembling or removing old furniture, wall securing (especially brick, tile, masonry or reinforced concrete), complex modular wardrobes, joining multiple products into a configured system, repairs or replacement hardware, custom drilling or cutting, kitchen installation, benchtops, plumbing, electrical or gas work, and parking, loading-zone, lift-booking or restricted-access costs. The assembly price covers only the products and work listed in the confirmed quotation; if the product or site conditions differ materially, we explain any required change and get your approval before additional work begins.

How to prepare for flat pack assembly
A few minutes before the appointment saves a return visit.
Make sure every box has arrived
Compare the delivered box count with the retailer's order or delivery information. Some products arrive in several separately numbered cartons.
Inspect the packaging
Look for crushed corners, water exposure, tears or other obvious delivery damage. Photograph any damage before opening the product.
Keep components together
Unless the retailer requires an immediate parts check, keep panels, fittings, instructions and hardware together. Tell us if a box has already been opened or partly assembled.
Place boxes near the assembly area
Where safe and practical, have the boxes in or near the room where the furniture will be used. Tell us in advance if heavy packages must be carried upstairs or over a long distance.
Clear sufficient floor space
The assembler needs a clear, level area large enough to lay out and build the largest component without damaging nearby furniture.
Share access information
Provide parking restrictions, loading access, building rules, lift bookings, stairs and preferred entry instructions before the appointment.
Keep the work area clear
Keep children and pets away from loose fittings, tools and partly assembled furniture during the job.

No standard assembly tools are required from you. The assembler brings the tools needed for the quoted build. The product must include its manufacturer-supplied panels, fittings, instructions and hardware.
Wall securing can be included when the product requires it and it is part of the confirmed quote. Suitability depends on the product, supplied restraint, wall construction, access and required fixing. Tell us the wall type when booking.
The assembler will identify the affected component and explain what is needed. Work can continue only where doing so will not damage the product or leave it incomplete or unsuitable for use. A return visit may require a separate quote.
Partly assembled furniture can be reviewed. Send clear photos showing the current condition, remaining components and instructions. We will confirm whether the work can continue and whether correction or disassembly is required.
Standard assembly includes grouping or stacking the packaging neatly in the assembly area. Removal and disposal can be added to the quotation when available.
